DiviNation # 2

DiviNation #2 is conceived as a deconstruction of the  video piece DiviNation. The video is reduced to 98 frames, presented as photographs. It has been broken and its narrative continuity has been disrupted. The individual, now static photo sequences could be perceived as the separately “produced” objects. Their display inevitably creates a new spatial, but not a temporal narrative. The chosen fragments depict female’s hands arranging beans: the sequences with male actors and all audio recordings are omitted. The already incomplete conversation in the original video is additionally reduced to several ambiguous sentences (subtitles), dislocated from their original context. The new piece now attains a "female" aura.
